Forum Post: Needed: Art design for an Occupy The Money Supply "99 Sense" note.

The note should look similar to other bank notes. The OWS currency note is intended as not only a lesson in the complications of printing money, but we also intend the money to circulate as currency for what would otherwise be voluntary services. Occupy the Money Supply should make reference to 99% on the note. We'd like to begin printing these at a shop in Boulder, CO where I currently live. The OWS money printing will be then covered by area journalists, independent media, and posted to youtube. Our goal is to print the same number of "99 Sense" as the bailout, or approximately 700~800 Billion.

Once we get a design, it can be printed by other people and organizations on behalf of those who are camping and peacefully assembling.

Our OWS money will neither be legitimate money, nor will it simply be a novelty item. It's simply a bold step whose time I think has come. It's not feasible to be orchestrated in any way other than as a collective that simultaneously understands the meaninglessness and meaningfulness of what it undertakes. With that in mind, every revolution needs a dollar. Or, perhaps, its ninety-nine sense.
