Until we, as a nation, address the corrupting influence of money on our political system, nothing will change. Money buys influence and votes. After the Supreme Court's decision in Citizens United, we probably need to push for a constitutional amendment outlawing private money, and requiring the public financing of campaigns. If anyone has a better idea as to how curtail this legalized bribery, I would like to hear your ideas.
Public financing only serves incumbents. We need more organizations, more unions, to involuntarily donate to the cause without any real idea as to what their union dues go to. Let it happen as-is, it works just as well for us as it does for them. Soros has it figured out, we can learn a lot from him.
