I'm curious if anyone reading and posting here knows anything on this fascinating subject. I'm looking for thoughtful opinions, stories, experiences, reading materials. Thanks.
Re. The Naxalites - of course any search engine will give you thousands of results to read and sift, however Arundhati Roy wrote a famous essay about the contemporary Naxalite struggle which is an essential read in this matter imo and which I append below. Please note that there are 8 pages to this but I promise that it will reward some diligent reading. I also attach four other possibly useful links for u :
"Walking With The Comrades", by Arundhati Roy : http://www.outlookindia.com/article.aspx?264738 ,
"History of Naxalism" : http://www.hindustantimes.com/News-Feed/NM2/History-of-Naxalism/Article1-6545.aspx ,
"Who are the Naxalites" : http://www.rediff.com/news/2003/oct/02spec.htm ,
"India's Naxalites - A spectre haunting India" : http://www.economist.com/node/7799247 &
"The Wiki" : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naxalite .
Hope you are well 'ogoj' and Solidarity to 'Occupy Raleigh'.

Hi, I recently put together a 52 minute radio feature based on 4 months travels in remote Naxal affected areas of India. Includes interviews with Arundhati Roy and many others, along with the voices of many tribals and villagers. You can hear it here: janakrogers.com/redcorridor/ . There are some photos, too.
Would love to hear your thoughts, and please share around.

Corrected link : http://janakrogers.com/redcorridor/ & very interesting, so thanx :-)
