Why exempt cops? Blue flu is epidemic during contract negotiations.

what would be better is if all govt workers (except cops, firefighters and teachers) did this. so few would notice.

cut govt in half, outlaw public employee unions (who the F are they being protected from, anyway?), and legalize drugs. instant economic BOOM!

the ows camps would be trampled into hamburger by people on their way to work.

Sadly, while I don't condone the legalize drugs caveat, for this union scenario.....good trade...I'm in.

Unions suck the life out of life, period. Not my dad's IBEW nor what unions once were. The BA's could give two shits about the workers....they just want to collect the benefits for their coffers....Chicago 225 can kiss my ass!

by cutting govt in half, I mean reduce the budget by half. with an extra trillion dollars in the hands of people like you and me, the economy would rage forward and everyone would benefit.

btw, I've seen the maddow show graphs (talk about LOL!). they are as much of a joke as her constant assertion that Austin, TX, is a "border town."

moving our capitalist economy further to the left simply does not work. how much more evidence does one need to see that fact?

hey, if 50% isn't enough, I'll go for 60%...that'll work, too. anyway, you're forgetting the huge increase in tax revenue when employment skyrockets. then we won't have to borrow more than we spend. and if tax rates are kept where they are, we'd be able to start putting a dent in the debt rather than increase it. one of the simplest economic principles is if you want more of something, subsidize it. thus, poverty has remained at a near-constant percentage 40+ years after the great society started the money toilet flushing.

the last thing the govt needs is more money to waste. it's like throwing gasoline on a fire.
