Hi,

Before OWS existed, I created my candidacy for President of the USA to ask, and answer just one question:

Should voters have the opportunity to VOTE on a revolution?

There are so many groups, now including OWS, who know the system is broken and have their own ideas how to fix it: No Labels, Upward Spiral, Americans Elect...I could list about 100.

My plan is simple, but by no means easy. Why don't we put together all our "fixes" - our policies, mandates and Constitutional amendments ALL in one place. Okay, lots of people say that too. But I go the next step as to how to implement ALL the changes.

Most, like OWS, believe if we only shout loud enough, things will change - "our voices must be heard" to which I respond "our government is broken, not deaf" Most believe in "the power of the vote" so "if we only elect the "right" politicians...all will be well". Are we really that bad at electing the "right" politicians therefore the government is in the mess it is in?

So the mechanism of a "voted" revolution is to elect a President the "old way", who then goes to the Supreme Court ("take me to your leader") and creates the transition to a new/modified form of government, with ALL the changes 65 million voters want (it will take 65 million to win) It's a revolution that skips the messy and possibly violent part, and goes straight to implementing a new government and either amending or writing a new Constitution.

I'm just the conduit, the torch passer which is why the "for 100 Days" is presented. It makes no difference what are my personal views and opinions of policy - I won't be making policy decisions as President. On day 101 there will be newly elected leaders starting in the new system of government, with a LOT of work that needs doing.

I offer my candidacy to OWS as a MECHANISM for creating the change they seek, which at it's core is "taking money out of politics". It can be done, but it requires changes to the current system.

"The system is broken and dysfunctional...and everyone knows that." ~ Senator Tom Udall, USA Today 9/29/2011

Yes Senator, everyone knows that and nobody is doing anything about it.

It will only take 45,000,000 votes in a 3 way race.
