OWS should not promote the defacement of private or public buildings. That is criminal behavior and should not be tolerated. Besides, what will it look like after some time when no one is maintaining it? And then who pays to clean it up: TAXPYAYERS! Put it on your own property or not at all.

The citiizens of a city own that property. Paid for advertising generates revenue for the citizens of that city which reduces the tax burden. Are you that easily influenced froadvertising that it makes you compelled to buy something? How does one feel inadequate unless they are already insecure? And property is not yours to take, imagine the chaos you would create if everyone tried that out for a few days. Where is that a "right". A question for you: do you (or your parents) own property? How would you feel if I just took it from you. As for public property, you would have to ask all the other owners (taxpayers and citizens) if they would actually considering giving it to you and then I would ask: why you and not another? Please explain your love for graffiti. Graffiti is mostly an eyesore and a terrible expense for taxpayers and private owners of property.

Activity such as the topic idea maintain the people expression and creativity. It doesn't take violent or vandal actions because of complexity of the process. Expression and creativity are fine but not when you deface other people's property. No one has a right to do that and that was the point. There seems to be this insane idea that one has a right to graffiti a public or private building. One does not.
