Forum Post: Monsatan is not the only problem not properly addressed by the FDA:

Instead of getting clean, you may be getting cancer.

That’s because everyday personal care products — like soap, shampoo, deodorant, lotion, perfume and cosmetics — can contain ingredients that cause cancer as well as reproductive and developmental problems.

Take action right now with our allies at Green America to make the personal care products we all use safer for ourselves and our children.

Under current law, corporations can hide hundreds of chemicals — including potentially hazardous carcinogens, pathogens and contaminants — under a single vague term like “fragrance” on a product’s label.

A bill in Congress, the Safe Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Act, would finally give the Food and Drug Administration adequate oversight of the seemingly ordinary products we rely on to stay clean and healthy.

Go to Green America’s website and urge your representative to co-sponsor the Safe Cosmetics and Personal Care Products Act.

The bill would even give the FDA long-overdue authority to recall unsafe personal care products.

We’re pleased to work with our partners at Green America on this much-needed legislation to keep toxins out of everyday personal care products.

Take action with Green America today.

Thank you for doing your part to keep consumers safe.

And yet practically no-one is really addressing this. Can You say Insane? I know you can. PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, but thankfully Natural News has been reporting about this sort of thing for many years now. Long before I became aware of the site. And it's no secret that big biz does what it can to keep a lid on it.

Good post, DK. Yet another issue that needs to go mainstream.

I added the following to my letter - because it all ties together:

This I feel is as important as labeling GMO foods but also as important as ending the use/pollution ( air land & water ) of fossil fuel - extraction and use.

Additives in personal products or in the food chain or from pollution - ALL - add to the causes of cancer and so needless Disease and Death.

A worthy addition to the letter, DK.

Thx - now if only it makes an impression a good impression.

Yes, let's hope so. I'd like to think it would.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

If it reaches sane eyes.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

Heheh, good point.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

But sharing out the information - it will find sane eyes - hopefully many.

That's our primary job, I think. Spreading what we learn here as far and wide as possible.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Absolutely - 6 degrees of separation.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

That's a perfect analogy.

Good post.

The Keystone pipeline is a done deal, in my opinion. It's just a matter of time. But since we're talking about oil:

Put this on the other post. BTW - I am afraid that you are correct = done deal - over all of the objections of all of the people - disregarding global warming/climate change - winner being pure GREED Again.

Which post, your one from three months ago? Consider it done.

You have to wonder. That recent accident in Canada is a good example and I don't want to start pointing any fingers, but they put out the fire, which supposedly released the brake. I don't know about train design but it's possible. It then took over an hour before the train started moving, and I understand that's entirely possible considering the huge mass we're talking about. Physics and all. But you still have to wonder.

And as we're well aware, what's the death of a few hundred (or thousand) people if it advances the goals of Big Oil (or Ag, or Pharma, etc.)? Collateral damage is always factored in.

Exactly. As it seems that till now - that they have been getting no traction on approval - and you know they won't stop till they get it - the southern end of the pipeline being already under construction.

I posted some articles here : http://occupywallst.org/forum/oil-change-or-change-from-oil/#comment-986233

Hmmm . . . interesting take on the train wreck-pipeline approval connection.

Such a string of accidents in such a short period of time - pretty much begs to say - set-up.

Definitely, especially with the internet.

↥twinkle ↧stinkle permalink

Yep - unbelievable potential - why else all the shock doctrine espionage BS to manufacture public consent to losing it? Just like the mysterious rash of train accident oil spills - manufacturing consent of the public to OK the pipelines.

I think it is more apt today then when the concept was 1st postulated. The World is shrinking.

This issue should go main stream right along with monsatan right along with fracking right along with removing personhood from corp(se)oRATions. It is all tied together.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

I think so too. They definitely are all tied together, and it's no surprise MSM ignores issues like these.

The earliest article at Natural News was almost ten years ago, and amazingly it mirrors your post almost verbatim:

Thanks T. But you gotta do something about those flies. They're dieing at an alarming rate. ;-)

I just started to get e-mail from natural news - More Power To Them.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

I almost canceled mine since my inbox is beginning to overflow, but they come up with such good articles (with references, which I like) I decided to wait a while. Some people criticize it because Rappaport is considered a conspiracy theorist and Mike Adams shows up on Alex Jones a lot, but just like any site, including Prison Planet, it's up to the reader to do his research and see if the information is accurate.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Skim the contents see if anything grabs the attention - I get a lot of material as well - not all of it is worth taking the time to read - that goes into the trash - but the stuff that hits on topic I will take time to consider - like chemicals that are inimical to all life.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

That's the problem with being a curious sort. Some of the e-mails have little to nothing of interest to me, but others, well, I could spend all night reading those. Which is why the inbox is overflowing in the first place, heheh.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

At a certain point you just got ta call it a wash and clear out your inbox - you know it will refill quickly.

[-] 1 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

Yep, but I haven't been able to bring myself to do that. Afraid I'll miss something good, but eventually I'll just have to bite the bullet and do it.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Give your self a rule of thumb - how many days do you figure much of the e-mail traffic is good for? - some information will keep for ever and be as good as the 1st time it was accessed - other information is time sensitive and so will get old and stale pretty quickly.

[-] 2 points by gnomunny (6819) from St Louis, MO 11 years ago

Yeah, and a lot of the e-mail articles, like Natural News, I can access from their website, so no reason to keep it on my machine. It's just like cleaning house. Easy to get behind sometimes.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

You bet = Easy to get behind sometimes.

While forwarding the above letter. I also replied to the letter:

Thanks for the action opportunity. But seriously ( Instead of getting clean, you may be getting cancer.) This issue should be brought before every cancer charity looking for donations to fight one form of cancer or another - BECAUSE to make a significant step forward in the fight to end cancer - THEY ALL - WE ALL Need to go to the causes and get them removed - from our food - from our water - from our air - from our land - as well as from our industries. This is the rational place to start ending all forms of cancer while also working on cures/treatments.

[+] -6 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

I'd like to support this but I can't until Monsanto is properly addressed.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

See my reply to gnm above.

[+] -6 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Oh, it isn't that I ain't hearing you. I do. I am so angry currently that when they can demonstrate one than I will wholeheartedly support that which they do not control now.

[+] -6 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Makes me mad as hell too. Worse - really no outrage or action from the public - just gotta love reality Boob-Tube.

[+] -6 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Gawd. The icing on the cake would be a Tammy Faye Baker type representing the need. I can see it.
