How do you think it will go down?

Police Chief Beck says, 'We certainly will not be the first ones to apply force,' He also says, 'I have no illusions that everybody is going to leave.' How do you reconcile these two statements? It's my guess that the police will use infiltrators in the camp/crowd to 'throw the first punch' thereby allowing the police to then use force.
The cities aren't keeping people from protesting - just camping. There is no reason for them not to just pack their tents and keep their agenda going during the day when there are actually people around. It is becoming less clear to what end the tents are so crucial. We won't leave unless you.......???
They can tear down the tents but they can't tear down the intent of the OWS protests to change America.
These democratic communities represent the aspirations of millions of Americans for a better democracy than the political party system give Americans today. No amount of party government suppression will deter these aspirations. It will only incite them to bigger, more diverse and more creative political actions.
So why not just pack it up, take it indoors and continue on with the movement in a more organized manner?
When the people who are committed to the current action decide to do differently they will. That is their choice.
police are always evil scum, when push comes to shove, count on it.
