Note: Sorry, I'm reposting this as I realized I don't know what I'm doing. I want the title to more clear about my point.
As a combat veteran of the Army (Gulf), I have to say how proud am I that y'all are demonstrating how right the idea of liberty and freedom is! Where else in the world can you so easily practice the right to "free assembly", etc. However, while this is spreading, why not organize not just geographically, but across every imaginable group in our society, then encourage that globally as well. For example, I REALLY got fired up seeing the video of the black marine shouting at the police officers about how "they're not tough..." I realized upon watching that he's right! As a combat veteran, whether or not I agree with every detail of every protest, I have to stand with every American citizen using their freedom and being brutilized by the governement. Therefore, why not Occupy For Veterans? Occupy For Latinos? etc. I'm not talking about new movements, but micro organizations of existing ones. If I saw a group of vets protesting in my city (or part of a larger protest), I would HAVE to go down and stand with them. Just a thought. Keep it going!!!
Occupy. I stand by every powerless American. You are proposing an introduction of "identity politics" into the OWS movement and that mode of thinking has historically diminished the people's power. One group is up, all the rest are down, etc... I doubt your sincerity, your embellished vernacular, cheap ploys, and I wonder if you have not been sent here by the Koch brothers.
yeah I was talking about this not to long ago. We should have it in diffrent groups. I would like to see a sub groups in here like operation glass steagall operation jobs etc.
I see your point. Dedicated action. Occupy should include everyone - and be as water, it can take every shape it wants. And as nothing is being done for the veterans (for instance) by anybody, Occupy should take care of them. Veterans for Occupy, that's great, but also Occupy for Veterans. Makes sense to me.
Marines > police.
Hey we could use some good military style tents, where do we get them?
Awesome, username111. I would hope you can recognize Article 5 of the US constitution as being something needed to deal with all of the issues the protestors have.-----
We are working on a skype conference & chat. Sign up here. Protestors can micro-organize in their states to demand applications to congress by their state legislations and amend the constitution, restore constituitonal government. http://www.articlevmeeting.info/
Here is video from attendees Article V conference, Mark Meckler Lawrence Lessig at harvard 9/25/11-video comments http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-7ikbvu0Y8

Lots of facts here about Article V. http://algoxy.com/poly/article_v_convention.html
Thank you for the feedback. I don't understand Moving3China's rant below, but I certainly didn't intend for my idea to be seen as "racist." I can't quite understand how publicly applauding demonstrations and hoping it continues to the post that all groups are representing, including all demographics, as being "racist," but oh well. I'll definitely, use these links.
Moving3China is a troll, username. Or a rabble-rouser. Or a disinfo-tool. What he isn't is sincere about this movement. Ignore him. And one of the concepts of OWS, I think, is for individuals to organize at the grass-roots level if possible. Anything someone can do to move this thing in a positive direction while building numbers. Next year, Occupy Pennsylvania Avenue.
Hmmmm, I think some people think that if one notices racial difference they are racist. Absurd, but I've seen people pretending they don't notice just to fit into the social meme. Eventually when you get to know someone, all that disapears, after a while, the differences fade in a meaningful way. gnomunny is right, Moving3China is a troll.-----
Your solid position politically will be appreciated by all Americans because of your service to the country. This Article V convention is it. Consider what happens IF congress refuses to call a convention and blatently violates the constitution.
