I'm interested to hear people's take on the terroristic tactics of Mercy for Animals, killing American companies and destroying the families of the people who work for those companies. I am disgusted by the acts of this organization. If I ever meet an individual who is associated with this organization in person, they will wish they never met me.
Why are you so agitated? Have they exposed you or someone close to you abusing helpless beings?
Why am I so agitated? I'll tell you why. The organization could have taken one of several paths with that video.
Bring it to the attention of management, and ask that their practices be changed to ensure that these things don't happen again, thus improving animal "quality of life".
Bring it to the attention of government officials who regulate that industry, and ask that the company be sanctioned for their actions, forcing an improved "quality of life" for animals.
Create a nationa outcry over the company by going "viral", completely destroying the company and the families of a small town community. Most of the chickens will likely be destroyed, because there is no use for them.
They blatantly decided that choice number 3 was to their liking, which indicates to me that Mercy for Animals does not really care about animals at all. They are a terrorist organization dedicated to destroying companies and American families. There is no room in this country for terrorism, especially in this economy. If I meet or see anyone from this organization, I WILL do onto them what they have done to others.
So ask me again by I am so agitated?
Option 3 = Brings it to the attention of management, government officials AND the people. We, the people, have a right to know how our food is produced. You'd rather your dark deeds never see the light of day, don't you?
Reality check, this is how food is produced. Period. Singling out a company, or a corporation, for the purpose of destroying them, is wrong. These are common legal practices in the industry, and many of the images in the video were taken completely out of context.
Yes, that's the problem. Abuse is a common legal practice. Don't want your company going out of business? Don't abuse.
You are out of context, you generalizing piece of shit.
No, this is how food is produced: http://eatwild.com/products/index.html
Click on a state to find what is available locally. THAT is American. Support our local farmers.
This is a list of FARMS, not Manufacturers. Farmers do not manufacture food. Farmers manufacture materials that manufacturers use to make food.
No, actually there are farms with onsite slaughterhouses and butchers, so it is farm to table. Then, there are the mobile slaughterhouses like these: http://radioboston.wbur.org/2011/09/12/slaughtering-local-poultry which keeps the animals from being stressed out while being transported.
and slaughterhouses like these: http://www.adamsfarm.biz/process.html
The great thing is that I haven't seen a farm that did not let you come look at the animals and all of that. You know what the animals were fed and you can look at the living conditions and ask questions. The people in the links that I provided are very transparent. I trust these farmers more.
and you can always check here: http://www.certifiedhumane.org/?gclid=COLytfHr0qwCFcx-5QodvxV7pQ
Pro-American, pro-human, pro-animals.
And pass the cost to the consumer. As a consumer, I'm not willing to pay for that. Thanks for the sales offer though. I appreciate it.
Actually, the most expensive part is building onsite slaughterhouses and butchering. Once done, then that dramatically lowers costs. If that cannot be done then being able to get the animals to someplace close works out well.
As a consumer, you know what (if anything) was given to the animal (antibiotics, etc.) You are less likely to become ill from Salmonella or other fun stuff. It is good for the local economy.
Also, no you don't have the RIGTH to know how your food is produced. We the people have the RIGHT to clean and healthy food, as established by government guidelines. If you are concerned with the government guidelines, you have the RIGHT to discuss with your local government offficials. In regards to how products are produced, no you do not have the RIGHT. Sorry sir, but you have a distorted view of RIGHTS.
Then use the video as an educational too, leaving the company out of the picture. No laws were broken, and there is no validity to the video. The video was taken out of context, therfor is not suitable to properly educate the American people. Furthermore, the "tone" of the video is set to give the viewer a "distrubing image", taking bits and pieces out of a larger process.
Again, the purpose of this video was to HARM a company, not improve the quality of life for Animals. If anything, more Animals will be harmed, and more outsourcing to other countries will be a result.
Atrocities will be exposed for what they are, simple as that.
Again, OUT OF CONTEXT. You are generalizing. People like you shouldn't be entrusted to hold any responsibilities, raise children, or have someone's well being be put into your hands. I am fucking sick and tired of people like you who make rash generalizations based on the actions of few, and feel it's ok to destroy groups of people for your own pleasure. You are no different then the terrorists who kill thousands of people in this world. You are one in the same.
You really should just put yourself out of your own misery...
Your response demonstrates your lack of intelligence. On a positive note, your response was expected.
Yeah, you're right I guess it was a pretty nasty message. I apologize. Sometimes I get caught with my head in my ass, and I don't even realize the implications of my messages before it's too late.

I have to agree with @bluedoghunter. Going after companies who abide by the laws is wrong. If you are not happy with the laws, you should start court cases or protests to try to change them.
A big problem is that these people who go after such companies don't understand the finer details, they only see the big picture.
As for Occupy, I was a little disappointed that three Occupy factions decided to go after a WalMart store without discussing the issue with the employees first. This seems absurd to me. They want to Occupy this WalMart because they are angry at how the employees are mistreated and have no control, but they refuse to give these employees a voice. What they should have done is offered to help the employees and ask them to use consensus to decide by themselves what kind of help they wanted. I don't like this idea of self-appointed RobinHoods going around under the pretext of helping others without a care in the world what these others actually think or want.
BTW - What video are you talking about? Where is the link?
It's not hard to find. This has drawn national attention. Google Mercy for Animals Sparboe
I'm not in US, and I haven't owned a TV for 15 years. Thanks for the hint. I'll look it up.
