I am convinced that we can impact consumer behavior as well as corporate behavior if we come up with a set of standards that companies or products have to meet in order to get our Icon on their product, or endorsement on a web page. People want to buy from good companies they just need to know which ones are good from an unbiased source. I think this could become one of the solutions to come from our cause.

Well my whole idea is that we start a "less is more" movement or "<=> " we put this symbol on shirts at rallies and get publicity for the movement. We don't need to buy that t shirt at Target just because it is 5 bucks. Have 4 t shirts that are made ethically instead of 15. If our <=> movement is successful and people like the idea and it gains enough popularity then people will feel good and cool about putting their money where their mouth is and then they will respond by buying less. WE control the money that corporations have by our consumer behavior lets tell the corporations we are not going to buy their crappy products that are produced unethically, while we are crowd sourcing research on the biggest companies and giving our opinions on which are good and which are not. The emergent system that could develop could really change things, at least I think so.

I don't know. I think the vast majority of people would just buy the cheaper product. The only reason people buy Energy Star is because it saves them money every month.
