CAN WE PLEASE GET SOME FEATURED POLLS SO WE CAN SEE THE RAW NUMBERS OF WHO WANTS WHAT IN THIS MOVEMENT?
Certainly a valid request. If not to directly effect team decisions on specific issues to at least get some input from the ppl that are not able to be there on the ground...

correct - it's in citizens own best interests to want voting by full legal names (along with history of comments and voting records for all to see). However I am referring to voting on changing laws, the Constitution, etc. where it impacts the lives of other citizens (which would also require an official site staffed with 100% open source programmers). So, just like current congresspeople are required to do.
Any system can get hijacked, even the current secret voting by paper ballot. But when voting goes electronic and stays anonymous, there will always be a very realistic possibility to change results and no one will ever know. It will be a magnet for those in power. Not to mention big companies who can easily hire a PR company to send out, say, a few million votes in their direction or generic comments under nicknames.
India has 100% electronic voting by 'secret' ballot (Brazil, unfortunately, is also mostly electronic). Can you imagine how those votes are being manipulated today? While you never want to eliminate anonymous comments or contributions, voting powers (as mentioned above) should not be given.
If voting in simple polls, probably not that important. Just remember, garbage in, garbage out.
