We all need to march to all fifty state capitols and demand an end to greed and corruption in local and state goverments! We then need to organize caravans from all fifty state capitols and march to Washington D.C. on May1st, May Day or Workers Day throughout the World and demand an end to greed and corruption in Washington, the Halls of Congress, Wall Street, the Big Banks and Corporations. Millions march to Washington and gather to demand more jobs, end corporate greed and corruption, and for our Congressmen to do what is right for the people who elected them! We need to show our local, state and national representatives that we will not sit and be taken advantage of and will vote them out in November 2012 if our demands are not met to do the will of the people and not greedy and corrupt leaders and corporations!

Occupy LA has called for a General Strike for May 1. It has been endorsed by several other major General Assemblies including the NYC GA. While labor unions by law may not call for a general strike several major unions have essentially endorsed the action and are busy organizing marches and rallies to be conducted before and after work as well as surreptitiously encouraging people to call out sick on that day. Since 2006 immigrant rights groups have claimed May 1 as their own day of protest and OWS is working closely with immigrant rights organizations to coordinate actions on that day. I am not aware of any particular actions being specifically planned for state capitols on May 1 but to the extent that there are occupations, general assemblies, sympathetic labor organizations and immigrant rights groups at various state capitols there will undoubtedly be manifestations of the General Strike at those locations.
