I strongly disagree. We have to learn who the "good guys" and the "bad guys" are. That's the only way we can change the system. Of course it requires us to spend a little time educating ourselves but that's the price of Democracy.

This movement is amatuer. And is obviously being divided along party lines just like every other discussion in America.

Ignorant.

Because the people can not submit an initiative at a federal level, we must do it at a state level. This means having a finite idea, gathering signatures and getting our legislator to form a commitee and debate the issue and vote on it. That is our only method of changing anything. yelling in the streets is only the first step. We have to reach a consensus and write it down for a vote. democracy...

Who is smart enough in this movement to write a legal document in the form of an initiative???

People have been writing stuff up like this. I started seeing proposals like this a week ago, they have to catch some steam.

Agreed, "quit trying to badmouth (or good-mouth) single politicians", so perhaps you would consider our group's proposal of an alternative online direct democracy of government and business at http://getsatisfaction.com/americanselect/topics/on_strategically_weighted_policies_organizational_operating_structures_tactical_investment_procedures-448eo , hit the facebook “like” button if agreed, and then join our group's 20 members committed to that plan at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/

This movement has the same problem our whole democracy has, There are too many stupid people with big mouths spewing thier ignorance and voting based on what they heard from either a coniving power tripper, or someone as ignorant as they are.

I think when people say "sleazy" or "corrupt" or "crooked" or whatever in regard to politicians, these are just general terms for a person who wouldn't know truth if it slapped him in the face. I am sure there are many fine and decent reresentatives who hold sacred the Public Trust. But its not that easy to know who is who these days. It doesn't seem that anyone wants to go out on the limb.
