America is becoming less and less "exceptional" in the world. Alexis de Toqueville coined the term "American Exceptionalism" because America in the 19th century was different because it offered unprecedented opportunity to anyone, regardless of their station in life. When 1% control 40% of the wealth, and all breaks are given only to the rich, America in no longer "exceptional".
