I know they have a lot of other things to worry about, but HS teachers could really be able to show how democracy works and encourage participation.
Of course, the best way to get them engaged in the process is to tell them they are too immature to participate.
What, are you fucking nuts? You must be 16 yourself (only a kid would say something that silly). Things are fucked up enough with adults voting.
