Some of the big banks decided that charging more and more fees to customers is starting to be bad for businesses. Apparently people are going to credit unions in large numbers. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Chase-Wells-Fargo-drop-debit-apf-905349477.html?x=0
I urge everyone that can to pull your money out of big banks and go to a credit union. I personally have had dealing with credit unions and they are great. In fact i was TWO years behind on a loan payment and every time they called i talked to them and i constantly made an effort to pay something on it. I eventually paid the loan off and kept the vehicle. While that probably isnt typical, you would not find a big bank at which this is even a remote possibility.
