You do realize that Buffett fights the IRS over his tax bills, right? According to some estimates, he owes about 1 billion dollars, which he is fighting with his well paid lawyers.

I liked Buffett's thoughts until I started finding out how hypocritical he is about this matter. If he is so eager for the super wealthy to pay more in taxes, then why doesn't he just pay his own instead of dragging everything through the courts year after year? You and I certainly couldn't afford to do that.

Mr. Buffett long has urged lawmakers to raise income-tax rates on the wealthiest, arguing that his secretary paid a higher effective rate than he did last year. President Obama embraced the concept, and went along with Senate Democrats' proposal for a 5.6% surtax on those making $1 million a year or more.

Very deceptive. The right thing would been to close the loopholes so they would all pay their fair share. Instead it's a surtax. Interesting how no one ever wants to close the tax loopholes but keep talking about the rich paying less taxes.
