Forum Post: Libertarianism cannot happen through the Right!

We all want less unjustified authority in Washington, right? The current libertarian movement will leave a gigantic vaccum for corporate greed to fill if it happens through the conservatives, because

  1. Worker-led industry is not in corporate America's interest. If we want less corporate influence then we have to eliminate the possibility of creating that vaccum...at least going through the right. Worker-led industry gives the employees the opportunity to vote on key issues, collect the dividends and is not going to fire themselves so their job can be sent overseas. It stabalizes the economy, while providing long-term growth.
  2. community-led government isnt less government - It is less authority of government. In order to hold politicians in Washington and State Capitols we need to expand the number of politicians. It is easier too manipulate a smaller number of people with the equal amount of authority than a large number of people. Regardless of how many people vote (435, 535 or 300,000,000) the same decision has to be made. When it is a matter going to war, I like my chances with 300 million.
We dont live in a democracy, we live in a represenative republic. The more people working for the republic, the more it looks like a democracy.
