Forum Post: LGBTQ community and Occupy

I am a part of a class at Roosevelt University in Chicago about the occupy movement as a whole.

I am doing my final paper on the connections between the LGBTQ rights movement and the Occupy movement, and how Occupy became a new platform to aid in advancing LGBTQ rights.

would anyone here have any hands on experience with the involvement of the LGBTQ community in Occupy? What region of Occupy are you a part of?
