(From the Los Angeles Times)
The 2-month-old movement is also at a crossroads, (Los Angeles Mayor -- and former union organizer) Villaraigosa said, and must "move from holding a particular patch of park to spreading the message of economic justice."
While OWS (etc) should not espouse specific solutions, it seems time to develop long-term goals to be addressed. This should be done in an educational manner, allowing the populace to decide among various possibilities that we may choose to offer at some point. (EX: tax restructuring - OPTIONS; flat tax, graded tax, etc.)
To this end, there should be committees established at each of the Occupy locations to address, for example: Tax restructuring, Election reform, Length of political terms, ad infinitum. Topics should kept to a minimum for the present in order to energize the most important areas.
