Forum Post: Lets Make Changes to get Politicians to Work for America

We need concrete efforts to truly limit or ideally eliminate the influences that large corporations or wealthy doners have on politicians, and also make the time politicians spend in DC more effective. For example, if we limited a president to a one, 6 year term, he/she would not have to spend half of their first term trying to get re-elected and instead could use their time to deliver on the promises they made to the people and for the advancement of the country. We need term limits, transparency of donations, no donations by corporations, much lower limits on donations by individuals, and procedural changes in Congress to actually get things voted on.
