Let's imagine we are going to start our own political party. What would the basic tenets of that party be? I, for one, would argue for a stronger central government, but one with more equitable representation. For a state like South Dakota to have the same number of senators as a state like California is truly absurd. And that all elections should be publically funded. Any other ideas?
Why imagine it? Why not do it? If you want true change you've got to do it from the inside...
I'm with you on the elections thing. We need to amend the Constitution to keep money out of politics.
