OWS is often accused of “tearing up parks, courthouse lawns, etc. where they've occupied ...being lazy, wanting what they haven't earned, don't deserve ...making no point, or being unclear ...being a disruptive mob

Median Income, reported 10-21-2011 is $26,364

What would happen if OWS organized a work sit-out for one specific day for all workers (who could or would) for everyone who makes median income or less?

  1. could not be accused of defacing or damaging public properties
  2. would not be open to criticisms of “lazy” or “don't deserve it”
  3. WOULD HIT WALLSTREET WHERE IT WOULD NOTICE $$$
  4. would be able to do it in one single day
  5. would make it clear that this is not a democrat or republican only problem
  6. would make it clear that OWS is here with a purpose Even if only 1-2% of those making $26,364 or less, nationwide, were to sit out, the message to Wall St. would be millions, possibly billions The message would be clear to Washington.

It would be important to organize these, but to have as many organizers as possible involved, making it less likely that big money could intimidate or bribe a few to make the problem go away. Or perhaps, simply pick a date and pass it on?

OWS supporters, feel free to distribute this idea as widely as possible if you find it helpful
