What is Bill Gates, a capitalist or a humanist?

capitalist, but capitalism is all about the individual and their survival, not equal and good welfare for all people

Wait... isn't Bill Gates the guy giving free polio vaccines to children all over the world? How is that capitalist?

that has nothing to do with capitalism, that's philanthropic, but he is a capitalist. if he was a humanist he would donate all his money, a bit like warren buffet, and distribute wealth equally i guess

So, Warren Buffet is a humanist and Bill Gates is a capitalist. Got it.

Capitalism works until corruption and monopoly come into play. My experience is that the only function in most of us starting a business is to buy from large corporations, collect taxes and fail. The few that ever make a profit, usually start from a position of wealth. The USA is now failing. Wonder why? It's because of the laws that prevent trade between neighbors, without big brother getting money from the first dollar of sales and payroll. I think it could be after a profit is made. Exempting new individuals and cooperatives from many of the tax collection, (and liability), burdens would create better and more jobs and probably create more Gates and Buffets. The chance is nothing will change and the odds of surviving five years in business will stay one in five. About the odds of the treasury ever having money for fully funding social safety nets.
