Keep your wits about you. It's already begun.
"The political action committee of Koch Industries Inc. — the energy company run by conservative billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch — is off to its fastest start ever for a federal election cycle.
KOCHPAC donated $559,000 to federal-level political candidates and committees during the first five months of the year, according to a Center for Public Integrity review of Federal Election Commission disclosures released this week.
That easily bests its output for the same time periods during previous election cycles: $387,500 in 2011, $274,500 in 2009 and $387,570 in 2007."
Capitalism, post Citizens United at it's "finest".
And that's just the stuff they have to tell you about.
Good post, shooz. These sickos are still going strong.
Just don't mention that they are libe(R)tarians. Some folks are incredulous.
Libertarians are of two veins. The ones who understand Austrian economics and know it will benefit themselves, because they already hold a lot of capital, like the Koch brothers. And, the ones who don't understand Austrian economics and will be ripped off by the ones who do because they don't understand it.
You say that as if economic cannibalism is a bad thing.
oh wait......what??
It IS a bad thing.!!!!

Koch working 2 send life 2 hell ASAP
Expand
They're just reporting on their federal spending.
Keep in mind how much they spend in the States.
I guess the ROI is still better than if they actually cleaned up all their pollution.
Absolutely - bottom line - follow the money - corp(se)oRATions buying government state and fed.
People - this shows why you all need to support Move to Amend to remove personhood from corp(se)oRATions.
Here's one a bit closer to home for you DK.
Not so much Koch, but a little more Pickens.

I think they're all related.
Sick - all of the destruction caused by fracking. Direct and indirect.
Don't forget the various pipelines. It's not JUST the XL we need to worry about.

Through your wilderness, or right through your backyard.
Yep - sending poison/toxic disaster to your door - now no-one needs to feel left out of the excitement.
In our States, you will find the Koch's favorite "tax deductable" charity at work.

And some here claim the "works" of ALEC are over reported.
I beg to differ.
ALEC CATO HERITAGE Koch's etc adnauseum are hardly reported at all for their shithole activities.
What's been posted here, is just a scratch in the surface.
The relationship to the SPN, is what's under reported.
Much less expensive for them to buy a state election as compared to a federal election - though they try to do both.
Having bought state positions - it is then easier to influence state policy - having influenced state policy it is easier to stop a state by state drive of support for federal change.
As I am reading this article, I can't help but think that, when these guys die, they need to do autopsies. I'm pretty sure that we will find out that they are the borg.
As I've been saying all along.
"The Koch brothers' political involvement is multi-faceted and broad. They rank among the country's most prominent influencers of elections and policy.
Koch Industries, for example, has spent more than $62 million on federal lobbying efforts since 2008, records show.
David and Charles Koch, meanwhile, themselves pledged to contribute tens of millions of dollars during the 2012 election cycle to defeat President Barack Obama and his fellow Democrats."
