The march over the Brooklyn Bridge seems sort of anti climatic. Once you got to Brooklyn, you did what? Turned around. Not too exciting.
I propose that if you really want to get big business to change it's practices you plan a march for every day making the rounds from one company to the next.
Start with GE the company that gets a tax refund. Move on to Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citibank, etc.
Exactly right. Why do these Bank Executives get these huge bonuses, when the Banks themselves are not making much money. I cannot imagine why one man can get paid $35 million as a base salary, take $50 million in share options, another $150 million as a cash bonus, and have all his expenses paid, plus his private jets and yachts. These Banking Executives are paid more money than Greek Shipping Magnates like Onassis was. What are they doing for this? Sitting on the trading desk short selling fine American institutions, Pensions and Widows and Orphans funds. They are despicable people who are laughing at the 99%. In the UK, we have a saying - "they are taking the piss".
If GE didn't get such a large tax refund perhaps we could put more money towards college loans, job development, health care, etc.
