Please keep it simple and clear. Platitudes are nice, but they don't always translate into tasks. Therefore I will try to be concise.
- The level of corruption, in business, finance, government and society has risen to a tipping point.
- There are no "perfect" solutions, except one that was proposed by an over 30 Jewish guy more than 2 thousand years ago.
- Democracies tend to deteriorate into anarchy, that is why we have a Constitutionally Limited Republic form of government.
- Because of corruption, that Republic has deteriorated into a plutocratic oligarchy.
- Socialism has failed everywhere it has been implemented. Part of the reason was because it was infected by corruption.
What are the WORKABLE solutions for government, business, finance and society?
One for government that I favor, is to do away with the Congressional seniority system, which enables someone from a "locked-in" Congressional district to get within two heartbeats of the Presidency. Positions of power in Congress should be based upon merit, not simply seniority.
Don't you think socialism has succeeded in Sweden?
What we really need is real, loop-hole free CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM if we are to break the cycle of legalized bribery we have today. It needs to be THE main goal of these protests.
