Forum Post: Justice Denied

The U.S. Justice Department won't prosecute the Wall Street bankers who have brought on the current economic armageddon because -- even if they acted 'unethically" they didn't break the law! And why didn't they break the law? Because Wall Street has hired lobbyists to get "our representatives" to make the unethical banking behavior perfectly legal!

They won't prosecute the black panthers disrupting the election or basically any black on white crime for that matter. The justice dept has always been picky about what they will prosecute. You're just pissed that your stupid masters in sociology isn't worth shit because everyone knows the kind of socialist nonsense they indoctrinated you with. Here is a hint - a screwy peace love dope major is a red flag for people who actually have their own money and labor invested in a company. You're not getting hired.

Oh wow! I love it. So now the argument is this: I think that what Person X did SHOULD be against the law. Turns out it ISN'T against the law. But it SHOULD be. So, since it SHOULD be but ISN'T then Person X must have bought off the lawmakers so that Person X can do what they did.

Do any of you ever stop and think about the absurdity of your arguments once in awhile?

If you don't believe Wall Street has dirty hands in this whole mess, you are either not paying attention, or you are an apologist for the the moneyed interests.

Wall Street Bankers brought about the economic armageddon?

Forgive me for not believing that. What precipitated the collapse of the market was the Real Estate Collapse. What brought about the Real Estate collapse was THE PEOPLE, yes the 99% that you say you collectively represent!!

Why should the banks be prosecuted for lending money to people who said they could make those mortgage payments? It was THE PEOPLE, yes the 99% that you represent that FAILED their lender.

So yes let's prosecute the lender, Let's oust the CEO of that bank that loaned money to buy that home. Let's occupy Wall Street for daring to trade stock in that same bank that YOU (the 99%) borrowed from and failed to deliver on your own obligations. While we're at it, let's just get mad and march in the streets blaming someone else for our own failures.

Yes great idea! We failed in our obligations so let's blame the corporation who enabled us!

I don't want to pay back student loans because I graduated college with a worthless degree! LOANS that I obligated myself to. LOANS that I decided to take. LOANS that gave me what I asked for. I can't find a job that I took loans out to attain. Yes, the banks are responsible for my irresponsibility!! Let's prosecute them but don't you dare (Society) hold me responsible for my own decisions!!!

Take some personal responsibility, all 99% of you.

I'm not the 1% but I'm damn sure no supporter of the Entitlement Class either and it makes me mad that this so called movement dares to speak for me!!

Yes Wall Street. But there are many other dirty hands. But without the elimination of the Glass-Stiegel Act, without Mortgaged Back Securities that turned into a giant Ponzzi Scheme, we wouldn't be in this mess with millions of people losing their homes, millions losing their jobs.
