and they spent the whole meal talking about how evil mcdonalds is and how much they want to occupy the location too. but its the closest restroom to their campsite at city hall that allows them use 24/7. lol.

You know what else? Protestors in the Eastern Bloc brought down communism while wearing clothes manufactured by communist industries and eating food produced by communist collective farms.

They should have gone naked and starved to death, and then ... uh ... well, somehow that would have been better. Don't ask me how, it's not my logic.

I wish I would've said that.

Stop being logical! Logic makes me want to shoot your bawls off!

Silliness. Their kitchen at their campsite provides free food and there are plenty of small businesses in the area.

But then again, I did bait them to a certain degree.

I'm not quite following you. You bought them burgers. It seems that somehow you think that they shouldn't have eaten the burgers ... why?

Yes, they have a kitchen funded by donations, but your donation defrayed their expenses. Um ... they should have been against this for what reason?

just noting my amusement in trashing mcdonalds and junk food in general as they ate it. it was free food, of course they ate it.

[-] 1 points by Dalton (194) 13 years ago

Then why is this amusing? Assuming that there is a joke, it appears to be on you.

[-] 2 points by onepercentguy (294) 13 years ago

told them it was kind of weak for them to compromise their views over pee and a free meal. they just shrugged and wolfed down the rest of their mcribs.

i was awash in a wave of pity.

That is hypocritical. That's the problem with these kids today. They're weak. I haven't spent a penny at McDonalds ever since they got caught ripping off their customers during one of their "Monopoly" promos a few years ago. The obscene amount of profit they make in any given year and then turn around and con their customers? F--k them.

why did you not take them to a sole proprietorship cafe?

[-] 1 points by onepercentguy (294) 13 years ago

great point. will try that next time.

[-] 1 points by JumpStreet (70) 13 years ago

Actually we had to pay to use the restroom in Paris...my wife was very upset when she had to climb under the door of her stall. Hey..Euro's only go so far in Eruo....pe....

"very soon will have our free restroom open to puplic and FREE LIKE IN EUROPE"

You have to pay in Italy too; typically it is one euro to use the restroom. At one rest stop on the Autostrada I forgot to bring any coins in with me. The restroom attendant chased me back to my car. (By the way, some bathrooms in Europe have squat toilets or just holes in the floor. It reminded me of Asia. The cleanliness is highly variable.)

one cause at a time! funny but scary that they're so unfocused. it's ok that the banks and corporate media don't know what they stand for but a little focus on just standing together and getting through seems critical right now.

i dont want to say the local occupy group is soft, but they avoid confrontation with authorities, complied with the city's offer to move them to city hall and even had a march over the weekend in support of police.

are a bunch a pussies compared to oakland.

[-] 2 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

no, that is the way to win. the only way. oakland is messing up. agitators are coming in from outside the movement i think.

[-] 0 points by onepercentguy (294) 13 years ago

i guess. the local group isnt getting any news coverage that way, though

[-] 1 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

That's the wrong kind of coverage.

[-] 0 points by onepercentguy (294) 13 years ago

compared to no coverage? i dont know.

[-] 1 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

Commerical media doesn't matter. We are not validated or invalidated by what they choose to show on Fox "news" or any other corporate network. And what's a one-percenter doing in a place like this anyway? Just curious.

[-] 1 points by onepercentguy (294) 13 years ago

curiousity

And yet y'all cried "censorship" when the news channels wouldn't give you the attention you so desperately craved.

[-] 1 points by ritacon (29) 13 years ago

Whose "y'all"? I didn't cry censorship. I no longer expect corporate "news" to behave like real journalists.

[-] 0 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 13 years ago

I stopped when I realized you were too far gone, even for a TROLL....

[-] 0 points by hahaha (-41) 13 years ago

Ohh, don't give up on me now?!?

[-] 0 points by TIOUAISE (2526) 13 years ago

Well if you wind up in the Hospital for the Very-Batty, I wouldn't want to feel guilty for not visiting regularly. :o)
