John Lennon's Message To Occupy Wall Street

Short and to the point, and important to remember as we witness police riots in Oakland. Non-violent protest is a right for every citizen, and there is a reason the founders listed it first among the Bill of Rights. Freedom of speech and the right to peaceful assembly, people.

Wait isn't that dude dead? Woooo, cool. We can now talk to the dead. I knew these drugs were transformational. Thanks OWS!

I think John lennons words to hippies from new York would be more along the line is "don't shoot me bro!"

It makes me puke seeing people associating the names of Lennon, MLK, Selma, Birmingham et. al. with the OWS "movement." Past civil rights and war demonstrations were focused, well articulated events. OWS is misguided anger from ill-informed people who represent 0.9% of America, not 99%.

Yeah, wasn't John Lennon about to make his recordings free just before he died? You know, Imagine, no one owning anything, including publishing and merchandising rights to what you created. LOL.
