Since the Supreme Court ruled the ban on political spending by corporations is "unconstitutional", we should move to amend the Constitution!!!
Of course getting corporate money out of elections is only the first step. The next step is to get the lobbyists out of the halls of Congress -- or at least get them to lobby for the people instead of self-interested corporations. One way to help in that regard is term limits; professional politicians will be the ruin of this country. The other way is to elect politicians who sign a pledge not unlike Grover Norquit's anti-tax pledge; politicians should pledge not to take money from corporate interests and focus on doing the work of the people!
It is not good to use laws to regulate businesses, at least that's what businesses tell us right? So if corporations are human like Mitt Romney and the Supreme Court seem to say, then they should suffer the penalties humans suffer:
Death Penalty for CEO's and Board Directors who Commit Crimes against Society.
