Greetings from a New York native now in North Carolina. I'm volunteering for Occupy Raleigh.
I saw yet another anti-Israel/anti-Semitic piece being touted as OWS on YouTube today. We need a statement from OWS denouncing all forms of racism, sexism, religious intolerance (including anti-Semitism), xenophobia, and intolerance based on sexual orientation and gender identity. It's time to stop a few crackpots from tarring and feathering this movement as anti-Semitic or associate it with any other form of bigotry. This needs to be raised at a GA and it needs to become a consensus position.
"…If the Occupy Wall Streeters really want their movement to achieve mainstream credibility... [they] need to disown the purveyors of hate within their ranks. They must pull the plug on the bigots amongst them who view the slogan of fighting the detested “1 percent of fat cats” as their opportunity to mainstream the hatred of Jews."

Tolerance and understanding in a global economy is the only way we all will survive. So, I agree
Some of the spokespeople of @ows are Semitic/Jewish. So they are the very people that need to speak out ASAP!
The media handpicks whoever is the most unlikeable
It is what it is
Shortly after I posted this an anti-Semitic post claiming the U.S. is "ZOCCUPIED" (Zionist occupied) appeared. You really have a problem when the right and other opponents start using the anti-Semitism of a few nutcases against you. It's far worse when mainstream Jewish groups like the Simon Wisenthal center start questioning the movement.
I'm glad to see some of the most hateful posts and links to anti-Semitic sites were deleted. Sadly a few remain and even more sadly there is no word of a statement against hate speech, as in all hate speech, at a GA. One still needs to be made.
Wow... look at all the hate. Maybe the Republicans are right after all.
It's not anti-semitic and 90% of jews are not semites!
