Forum Post: Its like the twilight zone on this tax issue

Just freekin raise them on the top 1%! We never had to go through this kind of begging and protesting in the past. They were raised and then lowered countless times in the last century. This is crazy. So much effort this time for just a lousy 5% increase. Just goes to show how embedded this system has become and how far we've removed ourselves from the decent understaning of what morals and values this country was created on. Greed has taken over like some kind of sickness. Some say that raising them on the top tier would create another recession. Well let's just chance it and see what happens. If things start to go south then repeal it. This is all too simple to be getting this much attention and resistance.
