Forum Post: It's finally over

Occupy was never intended to become what it had become. Occupy was engineered to collect and control the intense reaction from the portion of the population brave enough to speak up when they had had enough of the abuse from rich douchebags. The same types of companies protested by Occupy were actually hired to help market it in it's beginnings. Much like the protests in Egypt, one of the main characters in the leadup to the protests works for Google. Every group was assigned undercover law enforcement agents that made arrests for trumped up charges and documents of "Big Brother is watching" were released almost weekly in order to scare people. They rounded up brave and ethical Americans so they could scare/control them. The media had it's narratives set in place during live events, which would be impossible without foreknowledge. And in every corner of Occupy were people who discouraged and even censored discussion about the Federal Reserve which is an integral part of the financial sector.

Nothing about this movement was authentic except the people who risked their freedom to state what they believe. Those people are still pissed and will still be here, still be pissed when Occupy is gone and out of the way. Good By Occupy.

Herein lies the my problem with the impossible pretense of being "nonpartisan".

Those of whom you speak, are still quite busy "sowing", in the various States.

Being non-partisan is not a pretense. I don't vote because I don't believe in the system. I don't care about politicians. They all do a bad job.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You see Mr. boy, that, in and of itself, is a partisan position.

So, since you aren't doing a very good job yourself, will you refuse to vote for yourself?

Very strange.

[-] 0 points by TropicalDepression (-45) 11 years ago

"In politics, a partisan is a committed member of a political party. In multi-party systems, the term is widely understood to carry a negative connotation - referring to those who wholly support their party's policies and are perhaps even reluctant to acknowledge correctness on the part of their political opponents in almost any situation. Partisanship can be affected by many factors including current events, figureheads (presidents), decisions, and even location."

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

A gangbanger, that politicizes literally everything, even the meaning of words, while claiming everyone else is "partisan".

Strange days, indeed.

What was the central authority that approved your narrow interpretation of the term?

Your use of a quote here, is disingenuous and misleading, without citing the source, that should offer all the interpretations.

Which also begs the question of, which central authority demands only that interpretation?

But then........you have proven incapable of answering questions.

So..............................................................................................

[+] -4 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

How is it partisan? I do not support any party at all. Neither with contributions, nor with votes.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Don't B Dense. U R ( pretending?pretending! ) partisan anarchy.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Good for you.

Unfortunately, if you feel strongly about that, it's still a partisan position.

In it's own way, that's even an endorsement of the founding principle of ALEC and that's not a good thing.

[+] -5 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

Partisan means promoting a certain party. It you are against all parties, you are not partisan. The word partisan comes from the word party.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

That's your "adjusted" definition.

If you consider it a cause and you feel strongly about it......It's partisan.

So how do you feel about being partisan to the founding principle of ALEC?

[+] -5 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

Nope, not an "adjusted" definition. But, it doesn't matter. I support Occupy. I support anarchy. I support the idea that the system is broken. If you want to call this partisan that's fine. Just make sure you don't confuse this with supporting a political party and/or the current political system.

partisan to the founding principle of ALEC?

What does that even mean?

[+] -4 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

Like I said, it doesn't matter. What's important is supporting anarchy, and realizing that the political system is broken beyond repair. Then, and only then, can one start to move in the correct direction. If you still think the system will respond to your worries and cries, and that you can send a letter to the President to change his mind, then you're nowhere.

Why?

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Yep, an adjusted and narrowed definition.

You should look it up.

Hey? Are you Waiting's puppet?

I've been awaiting a response from waiting and he/she/it seems to disappeared and been replaced by you!!

If you don't know ALEC?

There's something else you should be looking up.

Um.........google Paul Weyrich.

[+] -5 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

Nope. I don't know waiting.

Nope, I don't really know too much about ALEC. I'm not American. I'm not really interested by the particulars of American politics. US is a country which bores me. I'm here because Occupy is an international protest, not a US political thing.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Well then perhaps U should "TRY" 2 post or comment on something U know(?) something about? Something perhaps Candaidian?

[+] -4 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

I'm interested in anarchy and Occupy. Both things that have nothing to do with one particular country or another.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

What do you know about? And what country are you living and breathing in?

What's the point of being so secretive?

If you don't know ALEC? You don't know a lot.

I get the feeling that you are yet another poster who refuses to answer clearly, even the simplest questions.

Prove me wrong.

Ya, I know. He just likes to "one up" people. He needs to "win" arguments at all cost. Like my 7 year old nephew Jamie.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Ur nephew spanks ( "wins" arguments ) Ur butt on a regular basis?

Why am I not surprised.

[+] -4 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

You're like shooz. You post lame replies to try to "win" and "one up" your opponents. You're not here to build communities, learn, and grow together. Your attitude is a negative for Occupy.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Not My Fault that U R stuck on stupid. OH and don't hate Ur nephew 4 out thinking U - it isn't his fault that U R stuck on stupid either.

[+] -4 points by almondBoy (-255) 11 years ago

The only one that looks stupid here is you, especially when you use that 11-year-old-girl-sms-style-writing of yours.

There is no left wing party in US. If there was a party that cared for the environment, that wanted to help people with free education and health care, any kind of true socialist party, then I would be glad to vote for it. Unfortunately, such a party does not exist. Every party in US politics is there to help the 1%. The system is broke. All parties are corrupted. In such a circumstance, voting for a party is legitimizing the broken system. I have too much integrity for that.

But I can take notice when the wording on this forum makes it's way to a mainstream media outlet. I suppose making those connections would be meaningless if the content contained a typo?

I think what you meant to say was......good buy.

Unexplained statements, like this.

"The same types of companies protested by Occupy were actually hired to help market it in it's beginnings. "

Are not conducive to understanding much anything at all.

the typo, was the least of it, and at least good for a laugh.

Hmmmmmm,

"The same types of companies protested by Occupy were actually hired to help market it in it's beginnings. "

What "companies" are those, who "hired" them and how did they get paid?
