Just before the Academy Awards are handed out, a time of parties and celebration I think we can all agree Americans love their movies? We love our movies so much that we wish life were like that, one man standing alone against all odds to build a great thing, or right a great injustice. It spills over into our political speech when we talk about how Bill Gates did this or Steve Jobs did that. We forget that we all built this country sometimes. No one makes it by themselves.

The great wealth achieved here or anywhere in the world can only be accomplished with the coordination of a coordinated society. All who obtain great wealth, own a great debt back to that society.

An oldie but a goody. Yes people tend to forget. This country did not evolve from one persons drive - but from everyone's contributions. Apparently the government has forgotten this fact while listening to the money of special interests.

Time for the morning alarm clock - wake up America - it is time to go to work - the job at hand is reclaiming our government and prosecuting white collar criminals.

The tide is swelling. We have a very good barometer for showing progress of the uniting of the American public coming to a head in Wisconsin. I pray for the loss of Walker his crony's and ALEC money. Let the people be heard!!!! People over money!!!!!!!!!!

Morning frf - Yes I did and I also posted some links. What a gaff for the dip-shit and his supporter ALEC. More fuel on the fire for the good people of Wisconsin. I do believe that this booting of Walker and cronies may be the 1st in a long line of ALEC financed political failures.

PCCC Pressures Democratic Members to Drop ALEC:

"The total number of Democratic legislators is unknown, but according to the PCCC, there are 26 states with Democratic lawmakers that belong to ALEC."

So since you don't include the numbers of ALEC members from any other party. Should we all figure that you are a supporter of those others? Or was it just a momentary oversight on your part?

Can you not do math, DKAtoday?

A = All ALEC puppets

D = All Democratic ALEC puppets

R = All Republican ALEC puppets

A = D + R

D = A - R

R = A - D

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

Would you like to back up that claim that all Democratics are ALEC members? or even alll Republicans?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

not able to back that one up eh? well maybe if you called in some more 1% help....

So clever. Now attach numbers to the D and R representations. You know provide a clear picture of what you are saying.

OH - YES. I am currently being admired by a multiple personality. How does one go about gently breaking a crush with a one person multitude?

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

maybe if you introduce them, they will hit it off and leave you alone, better if some only talk to themselves anyway....

Well if I could present one with a mirror - it would like - mesmerize itself. Problem solved until it passed out from having forgotten to breathe. Then it would likely go back to following it's masters program again - unless we were fortunate enough that the mirror did not get broken and it repeated the process.

What would be the point? To suggest ALEC owns more corrupy Republicans than Democrats? Who cares? That does not make the Democrats any less corrupt.

"The point of the GOP is to make the elitist Democratic party seem like a desirable alternative to would-be radicals."

The point of the exercise should be to point out who is actively working against the people. The point of the exercise should be to point out those in office have signed on to legislation for the good of the people and who has opposed such legislation and who has supported special interests and not the people.

Tell ya what - you are opposed to both party's (?) right?

So instead of wasting your time deriding them both (?) why not also advertize the alternative candidates for office. There ya go - that's a good fella - run off and play now. You can have a half hour to play in traffic and then I want you to get going on your homework.

All ALEC officials need to go. ALEC needs to go. The people need to unite and make it happen.

That is why the Population of the USA - You know - The People - Constitution of the USA - Ringing any bells yet?

The People need to OWN Their ( THEIR ) democratic political process. The People need to lead this country and not leave it in the hands of elected representatives to do what "they" want. No our elected representatives ( no matter who they are ) need a firm hand guiding them along the way - the Firm Hand of The People.

Well said, human beings are social creatures. We live interconnected, we benefit and suffer due to the actions of those around us and around the world. Even rugged individualists, can not escape this fact.

It takes more than a 'country', it takes a planet. One world, an interconnected web of life, that rose form the dust of the earth, and continues to reach out into the universe.

Many people seem to fight the notion that humanity is tied to the rest of life, I find this funny, yet tragic. How limited a vision, to see yourself as separate from nature, and this world. As an intruder, in the network of life that you are an expression of. I find the word environmentalist humorous as well. As if only some of us are even concerned about the rest of ourselves.
