First I want to applaud the ows protesters for what they have done so far. They have brought world wide attention to the inequalities that surround us. Now the world is watching and there is an opportunity to make a real change. The question is what that change its going to be. If this is going to be a movement for the 99% then it should reflect their desires and concerns. One way to do this would be to send mediators out to the community, to local schools and churches, to hold town hall meetings. This would help get more people involved and make them a true part of this. Not every one can come out to a demonstration in the middle of a thursday but they might be able to come to a meeting on a saturday night. If people can have their voices heard they are more likely to support the movement. This could help not only give the movement focus and goals but could also be an opportunity to educate those who do not understand the point of all of this. It can help change the face of the movement to one that reflects the true diversity that is the 99%. It can also help find ways to move forward that do not hurt those that are supposed to be helped.
Yes, I've posted this idea a few times on this forum over the past week or so. Recruit eloquent speakers from among the OWS ranks to speak at churches, high school and college auditoriums, meeting halls, etc. This would be an effective way to spread the word during the winter months and keep the message alive.
i don't want to be involved, I'm part of your 99%

There is only one way to gain the needed authority to meet the demands. Article 5 of the US constitution. Protestors in each state need to petition their legislators and protest in demand that the state enforce the US constitution, congress has been unconstitutional for 100 years, and compel congress to call a convention to propose amendments to the constitution.
Our first and last constitutional right, if we fail to use it.
