LENR (low energy nuclear reaction} or LANR (lattice assisted nuclear reaction) is a tech that seems to have been demonstrated. It is the only tech that I am aware of that is potentially low enough in cost to be deployed quite quickly. Many people think it is a scam. There has been an ongoing demonstration at MIT since January. http://energycatalyzer3.com/news/video-of-mit-cold-fusion-device-now-online

"Notwithstanding the lead held by their competitors, Bob said: "I'm convinced Brillouin will be the first to market with commercial cold fusion." And the time frame for that is conservatively a year from now."

I seriously have my doubts.
I am not convinced that any company has a product that is close to market ready. I am convinced that the MIT demo is "proof of concept". I am still very skeptical about the claims of Rossi (E-cat) and Defkalion. Neither have been subjected to independent testing that can be confirmed. I think another problem is that it still gets referred to as "cold fusion". I don't believe it's fusion. http://blog.newenergytimes.com/2011/06/01/nasas-bushnell-lenr-most-promising-energy-alternative-and-its-not-fusion/
