This seems extremely poorly organized. I'm not opposed to participating in this, but to me it seems like the majority of people have no idea what they're here for, what they're fighting for, or what they hope to accomplish. I need to hear something concrete. There can only be one set of goals, agreed upon by all, or the group will be divided and, in my opinion, occupywallst will ultimately fail.
Did they have set goals in Egypt or did they just get 'fed up' and show up?
Ultimately I think the only thing that gets corporations attention is when they are effected financially. Why not have an economic incentive like closing all accounts at the big five banks; Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Chase, Citibank, HSBC Bank USA, and writing a letter to the bank CEO to tell them why.
Are small banks charitable organizations? Why are they better than big banks? If you shut down the big banks, what do we do with the tens or hundreds of thousands of people out on the street, unemployed? Dont forget we messengers, clerks and mailroom guys work at the big banks, too.
What can those of us that cant attend do? Are donations being taken for food and water? And bail?
The reason why there not sets of goals id because no one can be liable for what people do, just go there and be creative :)
In otherwords, this is just some dumb frat party.
Ummm. Consider that about 99% of the country does not share the sentiments of this group, I'd say its phail before it starts. This isn't some po-dunk small country like Egypt. There are 50 seperate states, and each has its own identity and beliefs. You try the Arab Spring here, and you will be laughed into a prison cell. But hey, good luck, try your best.
