I’m aware of many of the significant material differences between the eras, but in at least one, the sense of betrayal, coupled with ever dwindling expectations, I think they’re very similar. And this similarity may prove pivotal; it is arguably the greatest single dynamic force that ushered in the changes following the Weimar Republic. What changes will it engender in our time?
Remember that what followed the Weimar Republic was Nazism. Not exactly the nicest system to ever fill a power vacuum that, itself, created through, initially civil disobedience and, later, through violent revolution.
Not very nice at all.Could serve as a lesson. But to whom?
To those that are aware and read. But they already knew what 0bama & Co were about .
If only it were as simple as this guy, or that guy. Or this secret conspiracy, or that.
The conspiracy is human nature, and pandering to its worst aspects.
The biggest problem with Occupy is it's obsession to compare itself to other movements. It does this left and right, and it doesn't know what it is itself. A pure irony.
Could be. And if that is what I had done, it might be relevant.
This content is user submitted and is not an official statement. Utter nonsense from a so-called leaderless movement. Notice how many forums disappear as soon as they point out the real nature of the problem? Weimar Republic-perfectly good allusion without pointing out the players. Evidently this is OK for the moment. Anyone like to expand the historical framework on this post and watch this forum eliminated as well? Anyone paying attention knows who spawned OWS and who is directing it. Good luck OWS-my suggestion-step back and don't let yourself get played by this "democracy" BS. We are a republic (no republicans don't represent the republic). Learn your history. ENGLAND won the Civil War. States United and your rights under the constitution are subverted by Federal Feudalists-the corporation called THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the Federal Reserve that are both wholly owned corporations of The Bank of England. Corporations within corporations are tricking you into giving up your freedom. They have limited jurisdiction and you are free but you must learn how to play the game! http://www.supremelaw.org/fedzone11/htm/preface.htm
the civil war was between the states in the 1800's.. the revolutionary war was the one with england.
Thank you for PERFECTLY illustrating the problem of allowing historical events to be framed by the 1%, and failing to realize the implication. It has been said that The Civil War was the last battle of The Revolutionary War. Study this carefully. We are dealing with a money power that has 500years of organized consolidation behind it. The Bank of England funded Union soldiers, bankrupted the country, established it's corporate headquarters, The District of Columbia, The Bank of England established the Federal Reserve by way of it's agents. Old money (THE OLD WORLD ORDER) does not move fast. New World Order is psychobabble to steer you away from the real players. Check this out-excellent resource, but don't rely on only one. Nresearch!! http://www.gemworld.com/USAVSUS.HTM.
