I'm wondering if naïveté is the food and drive of OWS? When we are young, we are naïve. This makes it so we repeat the mistakes others have already made, but it also gives use the energy to try all kinds of things. When we get older, a lot of action is terminated simply because we know better. Could this be one of the main advantages of the movement?

I wouldn't say naïveté is the meat and drink of this movement. but I would say frustration, anger, hunger, and even desire are.

A frustration derived from voting, but seeing that vote as voting for the lesser of two evils, anger at the fact that the true criminals are never truly brought to justice, a hunger for freedom and a desire for change.

That is what lies at the heart of this movement. It's "raison d'etre".
