Do you think it's all a show because I think it doesn't even matter who's in office anymore.
You got it. Elections and the functioning of our govt. are for domestic consumption. People in other countries who have borne the brunt of our foreign policy know the real America. Study our foreign policy for the last 100 years or more, and you will understand this. Wars in Asia, military interventions in Central America & Africa, Wars in the Middle East: it is about resources (oil), Markets (for corporate goods), cheap labor (for corporations), hegemony (to ward off competition)....all under the guise of democracy, spreading it or stopping communism or terrorism (not that there is no element of truth in this rationale). Elections are largely an exercise in futility and a public diversion from the Power behind the throne: corporate control, largely financial, of our govt. Read Smedly Butler (a general who fought wars for corporate America in Central America, etc).
Thanks for the book recommendation. I will check this dude out.
Agreed, "it's all a show", so perhaps you would consider our group's proposal of an alternative online direct democracy of government and business at http://getsatisfaction.com/americanselect/topics/on_strategically_weighted_policies_organizational_operating_structures_tactical_investment_procedures-448eo , hit the facebook “like” button if agreed, and then join our group's 20 members committed to that plan at http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/StrategicInternationalSystems/
Not ..Dead..Yet. OWS = Last Best Hope.
It's all just a puppet show. Homeland Security and the FED are the real shot callers.
