I guess that Hope and Change thing didn't fix it did it?

Wow, you have one note and continue to play it, don't you? This has been going on for decades, and all you can think of is how it furthers short-sighted political views. No, it hasn't changed in the last 3 years, it hasn't changed in the last 30! And if this President doesn't stop yielding to the status quo, he's going to find himself out of office... And collecting that pension.... Yes, that's how screwed up the system is. We vote them out and they still take $450,000 a year. Either party. That's what you're not getting: it has nothing to do with party affiliation, it has to do with the entire system being out of whack.

So maybe instead of focusing on the partisan sniggering about "hope and change" you'll wake up and join the movement that is making their OWN hope and change.

So quit standing on a street corner crying....run for office...or get rich an turn the tables on them by using your mega millions for good. Talk minus action equals zero.

I don't have the temperament to run for office, and in case you haven't noticed, the "get rich" portion of your plan isn't quite that easy. In fact, the deck is quite stacked against it, that's kind of what this whole thing is about.

And all this "crying" is starting to making a difference. It got you talking about it. And while I support them, I'm too busy trying to keep a roof over my family's head, which is perhaps the main tool of preventing revolution... Keeping people so preoccupied with their own lives they can't deal with the problems of society at large. Which is why it takes people like OWS to break the apathy of the status quo.
