Which occ movement seems to be leading in this ever-important task?
decriminalize and regulate drugs.
Ok, how? We need incredibly intellegent and well thought out solutions.
The solution to the banks and wall street is to take the $300,000 in donations, invest that money into Gold and start a new gold based currency. You could actually invest the money into a gold backed stock, and sell the stock value as currency. The more your new system damages the old, the higher the cost of gold and your currency increase. Start a new economy on the camp sites, using your own currency. You can trade between each of the OWS locations. People can start trading in their USD for the new currency. You can create a new OWS banking system, that does not lend out money it does not have.
But it won't work. No one is motivated enough for change. The only real solution is to start from scratch, and eventually find yourself in the same place.
There is no Hitler, or Stalin, or Mao in America that will appear and solve all our problems. Our problems are all imaginary, I'd hate to say. It exists in our head. Western Society is addicted to drugs. We live for them, we fight for them and we die for them. Mexico is a perfectly example of how little is done when confronting the drug problem.
Almost half of Americans take at least 1 prescription drug. 40% of the cocaine in the world goes to North America, yet North America has a population of 352 million (only 5% of the world).
The problem with North America, and The West, is it's addiction to substances. We have no desire, because we mask our suffering with artificial feelings of joy. We feel artificial emotion, and have difficulty explaining it to ourselves. When we try to imagine the world, we think of it in conspiracies and alien plots. We merge fiction with reality, assume there are codes and meanings outside the limits of our minds.
The first part of the solution is to put down your cigarette, put down your alcohol, put away your prescriptions and seek help for your illegal drug use. Once you do this, you will realize how much pain you are really in. Once you feel how much pain exists around you, you will take better care of your environment, of your children, friends and family. You will understand why it's important to watch your diet, and your water and air quality. Soldiers, without their medical cocktails, will feel like murderers. Veterans, without their daily drinking, will remember their actions and feel guilt and remorse. Prostitute, hookers, porn stars... they will feel abused and humiliated.
The banks, the politicians, the lobbying, corrections, healthcare, money, wars, crimes. It's all, in part, related to drug use and drug abuse. There are more proven conspiracies relating the CIA, banks, and politicians with illegal and legal drugs than anything else.
No matter what is wrong with society, so long as people have their tobacco and alcohol, prescriptions and illegal drugs, they will never worry about it enough to take action.
So long as the people are using and demanding drugs, the illness of the United States, the #1 user of cocaine and prescription drugs, will slowly kill its own population while generating millions of dollars in revenue. It won't see itself die, every time it "wakes up" from one Matrix, the people just find themselves prescribed or experimenting in another.
Everyone has to be the solution. If you want to manufacture things in America, than do it. Start bringing wood and metals to the camp sites and creating Christmas decorations to compete with the upcoming Chinese mass production. People will buy that, knowing it's for a good cause.
Camping out in a park is not the solution. In reality, it's starting to be seen as a problem by ordinary people. It's also creating a safe-haven for drug and alcohol abuse. You have to contribute to society in a way no one else around you does.
It's an excuse to sit in a park, get drunk and get high, talk about meaningless philosophy's and wait. At some point in time, our culture decided that nonsensical images and sounds were somehow creative. All form, no function.

I checked it out. Searched for the word "constitution" on the first page. This is what I found.--

I appreciate atki4564's proposal, but it lacks authority to do anything. If it is going to actually solve problems and meet demands democratically, it will need to engage government. If it is going to do that it will have to do it under law OR usurp law and the constitution it was made under.-----
All atki4564 needs to do to have a valid proposal is make it fully lawful by using the the proposed democratic methods for an Article 5 convention. Here is info on Article 5.

That Article 5 of the US constitution is the only logical and historically lawful way to meet the demands and solve the problem. If they are not interested in meeting the demands and solving the problems, it is because they are against the US constitution. If this is not true, they should make a committee and discuss article 5
