All government spending represents a tax

" The inflation tax, while largely ignored, hurts middle-class and low-income Americans the most.

Simply put, printing money to pay for federal spending dilutes the value of the dollar, which causes higher prices for goods and services.

Inflation may be an indirect tax, but it is very real — the individuals who suffer most from cost of living increases certainly pay a “tax.”

So, how is the American consumer really influenced by the Fed’s policies of money printing and a falling dollar?

In the past few months, the CPI has risen while disposable income has fallen at a five percent annual rate.

This is equivalent to putting on a five percent national sales tax.

Moreover, if inflation is just measured by the cost of necessities, the cost of living is rising at 10 percent a year...."

Nice Post reddy2. Thank you for those links. Yep Bernanke admitted that inflation is a tax. A tool of the private Federal Reserve.
