Forum Post: indirect to direct

I like to see what people would happen if the U.S. election went from a indirect system to a direct system. There is a sliding scale for both methods, and reason for having one over the other. But with how things are going it seems that the "popular vote" may just be pushed to the side. I might be the only one but I don’t really like the idea of my vote just being an opinion to think about, and something that could be ignored. Maybe I’m barking up the wrong tree with posting this on OWS. But I feel that we need a change, and that it needs to start from the top and work its way down.
