The current extreme level of income disparity in the United States is the result of a trend that's been underway since the 1970s. Under Bush it went ballistic and accelerated since the year he was elected in 2000. The number of people living below the federal poverty line, who make a measly $11,000 per year, was at an all-time high in 2009. Roughly one in every five children in America live below the poverty line. Data from the Congressional budget office shows that after-tax incomes were lower in 2007 than in 1979 for everyone, but the top 20 percent. Over this exactly same period, the income of the TOP ONE PERCENT shot off the chart by more than doubling.

I am with OWS because that's EXACTLY what started this movement and to this day it is what this movement is STILL about.

Chime in here if you wish and let me know if I hit the bullseye. I certainly believe I did. If you don't believe I am saying, then, I want the repudiating facts for why I could possibly be wrong. It has always been my view that those who disregard facts do everyone they come in contact with a severe disservice. For those ignoring facts and resorting to smear tactics, they have a general lack of respect. Name callers is lowest form of smear.

Trolls need not apply their linguistic lameness here. They can give good laughs sometimes just because there so off base you have to wonder if they really even get it, which is why it's so damn funny, because many times they really clueless without a chance of rescue.

To everyone with me in this movement you have my undying respect. I stand with you and I will fight with you. My life has been committed decades ago to caring about USA and letting her know when she's right and when she's wrong. It can't be both, there is one right path. I know exactly where we are today and I can tell you if we don't put up a fight none of us will like what comes next.
