Sure, your platform sounds nice and rosy but it fails, always. A chicken in every pot! Great!! Where do those chickens come from? To me I just see that poor bastard the chicken farmer whose life's work was confiscated for "The Greater Good". OK now he's broke, like the rest of you no-work-ethic morons. Where are you going to get tomorrow's chicken? WHO CAN YOU STEAL FROM NOW?

Huh? Liberalism came to dominate the entire globe. I agree that it is essentially failing now (see: the Global financial crisis caused by Neoliberal economic policy), but it did produce industrial economies around the Earth

The "neo" is the problem. Too much Friedman, too little Keynes over the past 30+ years.

Perhaps. Although for us Reds, the whole project should be abandoned ;)

Yeah, I hear you. It's a love/hate with the guy that saved capitalism by making it more progressive.

It didn't fail in the French Revolution.

It didn't fail in the American Revolution.

It won't fail now.

Better hide your chickens.

ok thatcher, you need to get some new materiel. the one thing the chicken farmer always forgets is that he is allowed to be a productive chicken farmer because he pays his dues. when the chicken farmer becomes to big for his britches, using his chicken farming capital to smother other farmers, then those defunct chicken farmers turn on the thatcherite. That is something little miss thatcher never fully grasped, maybe that is why she picked a fight with the falkland islands, to get more scratch for the chicken pluckers. no?

Seems to me it was the conservative notion of 40 acres and a mule that failed.

Tell that to the greatest period of prosperity and relative equality in our history, the liberal consensus years of the 40s-70s.

There will be more chickens without poultry corporations. It is in the interest of those that have privatized birds to limit supply: it is in the interests of most businesses to downsize to the point where a scarcity is fabricated. The productive forces have developed to where a surplus is easily produced but the private ownership of production can't function without deliberately manufacturing scarcity, disadvantage, poverty and surplus population.

"To me I just see that poor bastard the chicken farmer whose life's work was confiscated for "The Greater Good"."

That farmer must be a kulak.

Chicken farmers are millionaires. Don't worry about them. You're wrong about liberalism. It isn't the end yet and .....winningggg.
