As a peculiar early snowfall blankets New York City, I'd like to take a moment to thank the Occupiers who are enduring this weather to bring the fight to the doorstep of the global financial elites.
All eyes are on you! As you circumvent the petty harrassments of the NYPD and the Mayor's Office with good cheer and good ol' American "can do" ingenuity, and foil the best efforts of our crony-riddled government to demoralize and undermine the Occupation, you inspire us with the spirit of Valley Forge.
Two centuries ago, another ragtag army of patriots survived a harsh winter and went on to frustrate the mightiest empire in the world, leaving King and great lords and ladies stunned and embittered.
Yes, King Bloomberg is no doubt laughing smugly with his bagmen and fixers as they devour oysters rockefeller and smoke the finest Cuban cigars, while footmen in livery pour rare vintages of port and brandy.
"They'll be gone by Thanksgiving, Mayor" says one toady.
"No way those spoiled rich kids are going to last though a winter in lower Manhattan" sneers another as he pops a canape into his mouth.
Yes, they're sneering now, toasty warm in the doorman clubs and the wood panelled offices of City Hall, but don't lose faith.
Down in windswept Zuccotti Park, a new Continental Army is being forged in the trials of suffering, with heads held high and songs of freedom on our lips. When Spring comes, we'll rise up and sweep the corruption from our land.
Never give up!
OORAH!
Hang in there, occupiers!
Why are you angry construction worker? If something needs to be built you will work. But we built too much of everything. So you won't be working for 5 yers or so. Maybe China??
