Corporate lobbyists represent the interests of perhaps 1 in 1,000 citizens.
with 999 out of 1,000 better off without these lobbyists, don't you imagine we could change the laws of our nation to make them illegal?
Corporate lobbyists shaped our health care system, empower the military defense industry, and are the reason Wall Street dictates the rules they operate under.
if these lobbyists were illegal, politicians dearest constituents would be citizens, not corporations.
imagine homeowners being helped out rather than investment banks. sounds like a democracy!
The lobbyists can only influence corrupted representatives, find out how much money your representative accepts from lobbyists, and vote accordingly. It has been said here repeatedly: take the money out of politics. Greed is not a good trait in a leader.
Ban unions, non-profit lobbyists and all forms of financial influence to corrupt politicians! How can they do what we want when they're being bought hand over fist by the man! Heck! Even the University of California collectively gave Obama over $1m for his '08 election.
